Raquel and I have been meaning to make cards forever. She kept telling me she had done it before and I have wanted to learn, so on Saturday night we decided to give it a whirl. We heard Joann's was having a sale and so we went and bought a few fun tools (an embosser and crimper) to help us with our cards. It was tons of fun making cards and listening to the old Whitney Houston classics, we may have even sung along to a few! Here are some pics of our first effort, not quite "stampin up" material but we did the best with what we had. I dare say this just may have to become a permanent new hobby, it was tons of fun and I can't wait to do it again - thanks Raquel!

Cute cards. Those look fun and simple to make.
Recipe for orange chicken: go to Costco, purchase box labeled, "orange chicken," prepare according to directions on the box, and enjoy!!! It was quite the treat.
Are you getting any snow down there? Everything closed down today...I guess that's what happens when a city isn't equipped with a ton of snow plows.

CUTE!! I am waiting for my card in the mail. ha ha So guess when Ben's brother is getting married!?!?! May 24th!! I think that you should take a little birthday trip to Utah and visit us while you are there. We are hoping to be there from May 17 to the 27 but we will see if my regional will approve my vacation. LOVE YOU

Sherri....I love your cards!! I am such a bad scrapbooker, and I don't anticipate that EVER changing...BUT I would love to learn how to make cards!! I'm so excited...'cause I'm taking my first class next month with a few friends!! I'm sure mine won't be as cute as yours, but I can't wait. :o) I'm glad to read your blog, so I can read my sister's comment and find out WHEN she's coming here next!! (Thanks, Nat) Hopefully you can make it out here to Utah... Natalie would love to see you, I'm sure. Maybe you guys could go out to lunch and then invite me to tag along! I'd love to see you again!
