Dr Perry DDS

I couldn't be prouder of this guy!!! He worked so hard the last 4 years and we were able to celebrate with him this weekend. If only he were done - now 2 more years of residency!! Congrats Dr Perry we love you and are so proud of you - what a great accomplishment!!

April Showers bring May......babies!!!!

When it rains it pours here in C-bus and let me tell you I am down right sick of it. If I wanted to live in Oregon I would have moved there. The only thing that has made these gloomy rainy days bearable (however you spell it) is getting ready for the baby. I have so many wonderful friends out here that have been so sweet to throw me showers and have seriously hooked us up for this little guy. Thanks so much to everyone!!!

My work threw me a shower, I'm not always a fan of games but my co workers are quite creative and we played some pretty hysterical ones. The cake was awesome and I was given so many fun gifts - thanks!

My dear ward friends Heather, Ashley, Joni and Sheena threw me a shower. Isn't this wreath Heather made the cutest thing you have ever seen? There are so many crafty, talented people in my ward it is so fun! Isn't the spread and decor so cute, I loved the missionary print Heather had for me.....so cute! Thanks ladies, I love you all!!

My good friend and fellow dental wifer Molly threw me an amazing shower with more of my amazing friends. She is yet again another amazingly (I am loving this word today can you tell?) talented woman, just look at all her cute themed decor that she made and her cookies - I just loved it. Thanks to everyone for coming - some of you I hadn't seen in such a long time. Everyone gave me so many nice things - this little man is one lucky dude!!!

34 weeks and counting

HE'S A BIG BIG BOY!!!!!!

I was going back and forth on the 3D/4D ultrasound that some people do. My last 2D this little guy was breech. Since I only have 6 weeks left they were a little worried he may not flip back on his own. They were going to check again in 2 weeks to be sure but I decided I couldn't wait to find out, since he has been moving like crazy I was sure he had turned! This way I could kill two birds with one stone: see if he turned and see this little guy up close and personal. I felt a little guilty like I was peeking at a present before Christmas morning. However, he is now head down and so I am really glad I did it, it's a little weird to see but kind of fun, so here you go!! The tech could not believe how much he was opening his eyes.....so weird!!! Not quite sure what there is to see in there? Oh man we are in for trouble, he's already got an attitude :) sticking his tongue out at us!!

The tech said she was also surprised how much he kept opening his mouth and sticking his tongue out too.

Hand above the forehead. She said he is pretty scrunched in there so we didn't really get much more than face and a few hand shots. We tried for the feet but he was moving too much! This is only to humor family that doesn't live here and always asks how big I am getting. Be glad you don't have to suffer looking at this everyday like everyone out here :) The ultrasound tech was surprised by my due date. Both she and my doctor say he's measuring a couple weeks earlier in size, which I am just fine with, we don't need no 9 pounder around here. You wouldn't know he was measuring small by looking at me. I really can't see how my belly is going to get bigger but it is, so just you wait.....bring on the cankles!

Oh Joy it's a Boy

First off thank you so much everyone for your comments and advice on my last post.....so helpful! I was able to make a quick trip to Utah to see my family and friends. They were so sweet and threw me my first shower. It was so fun and made this all seem a little more real. I was given so much cute stuff, thanks everyone. Mostly it was just fun to see everyone even if it wasn't for long. Since this is my only record I keep now you will have to excuse all the pictures and especially random ones of things that I don't want to forget. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FAMILY SHOWER

This cake was amazing and my favorite part. Shayne's mom helped the bakery design it and it was amazing none of us wanted to ruin it by cutting it. The animals went all the way around all the sides. The best part was that it was extremely delicious too!

My sister made me this cute "hooter hider". She was so excited this was really her first sewing project and she did an awesome job, I was so proud of her!!

We have an ongoing rivalry with Shayne's nieces because they like byu and of course we are UTES through and through, so Miranda thought it was funny to bring our present in blue and made sure we knew it wasn't cause it was a boy but was for byu

Shayne's mom gave us rivalry bears - Shayne told Miranda he was going to give the byu one to our dogs - not a bad idea :)

Shayne's aunt Lisa and cousins put together this tray - we had to guess everything on it and then the best part was I got to keep it all - just look at those shoes aren't they adorable, I can't wait to use them!!

Ok all you Ohioans, how jealous are you that I got to see this beautiful gal? I was so happy she could come, she looked amazing as always!

Never fear, mom is always prepared. She had bought these bags at Costco that you can suck the air out of. I could not believe how small it all got!

Really not one to want to post a belly shot but heck there are already 20 on this post so here is a lovely posed one. Not quite sure it counts as a "bump" anymore.

- Just a couple things I want to remember. After my family shower since I couldn't take the balloons with me everyone had a ball sucking the helium out of the balloons and leaving messages for Shayne. I did get videos which are hilarious but still to this day videos do not upload for me for whatever reason. Also, my friend pointed out that my flight home was my last one ever alone. I wish I would have realized this before I got home, I think I would have appreciated it that much more!!

S.O.S, HELP, AYUDA....CALLING ALL MOMS!!!

Alright everyone I hate to do this but I am soliciting your help. As you well know we are expecting our first baby in May. When I went to register it was so overwhelming and I feel like all of you out there know what I need better than I do so.....I would love your comments and advice. First, what do you think are the essentials to register for? Is there something you registered for and wish you hadn't, is there something you wish you would have registered for that you didn't. Anything you feel is a MUST HAVE with your baby? Also, I have been researching different brands of everything but there is a lot of info out there. I thought I'd go straight to the source and ask the people that are actually using these items now to get your opinions on what your favorites are and why (why you love it or why you hate it). Here is a list of things I have been looking at, and wondering about. Wondering which brand is best or most people prefer or if it even matters: car seats, strollers, pack n plays, breast pump, high chair vs booster seat, bottles and binkies and diapers, baby monitors, swings or bouncers, diaper bags etc. There's plenty more I can think of, but you get the picture, I just have no clue. I am sure some of it is purely personal preference and I will have to figure it out on my own but I would still love to hear your thoughts. Thanks everyone can't wait to hear your comments!!
