Conference Weekend!

I love conference weekend being able to hear all the great talks and advice we get to help improve our lives. I found myself being a little sad this time around not being in Utah. I guess I took it for granted living there and being so close to it all - I really do miss it! I am so grateful for modern technology and the fact that we are able to view conference no matter where we are. Isn't the conference center and all of temple square just amazing? If you have never been before I highly suggest you go sometime if you are ever in SLC.

Back to School

I made Shayne pose in his scrubs cause I thought he looked so cute. I wear scrubs everyday but I wasn't used to seeing him in them - he looks like a dentist already don't you think?

Hard at work - Shayne has been in school for 2 weeks now. It is very busy and I can not believe how much work he has to do - glad it's him and not me I don't think I could be that motivated - way to go babe!

Tis the Season for.....FOOTBALL!

We attended our first Ohio State Football game - it was a blast. We sit in the student section with a bunch of other dental students and their wives, we can't wait to go to more - GO Buckeyes!

This is a view of the stadium it holds 102,329 people (to be exact) and there is never an empty seat. We love our Utes but I'm sorry guys this puts those games to shame. Between the Utes and the Buckeyes it looks like we will always bleed red!

Shayne loves this time of year - he eats, drinks and sleeps football (when he's not studying of course.) This is just another shot to show you how crowded the stadium is - it's actually quite overwhelming if you've never experienced it in person before.

The band at Ohio State is awesome. They do what they call script Ohio at the beginning of every game. They spell Ohio out in cursive while simultaneously marching and playing music and they don't miss a beat - it's quite amazing!

The Infamous White Coat Ceremony

It's now official, we attended the white coat ceremony for Shayne's dental class. It was actually really well done and neat to see all the guys and girls that have worked so hard to get here get some recognition. The program consisted of few speakers, then they presented all the students in their white coats and then had a nice catered reception afterwards.

It was really dark and hard to get a decent picture of anyone so I had to settle for a picture of the screen - this was displayed as each student went up with his white coat

There are 104 people in Shayne's dental class and it was too hard to get everyone together for a group shot so they spelled out OHIO which was kind of neat. Shayne was in the 2nd O. He is the 2nd row from the top of the O 2nd in from the left.

Out of the 104 dental students 19 just happen to be from good ole Utah, here is a few of them!

WE HAVE FURNITURE!!!

One of our good friends, Shawn Nelson, just happens to be the founder of the hip company popularly know as LoveSac. They have a lot of awesome products and we were excited to be able to purchase some so we could actually have some decent furniture. We love it - not only is it extremely comfortable but it is "really really good looking" too. So, for any of you that don't know what LoveSac is - shame on you, you are only missing out. (Ok so we have had this furniture for about a month now and you may have seen it in our previous posts about our condo but we just had to give a shout out to Shawn and say thanks!)
