Back to Boring

We have had such a fun summer and are so sad it has come to an end. Now it's back to work, back to school, back to endless nights of studying, back to everyday errands and chores, back to boring nights alone, back to just plain boring. Unfortunately, this means it's back to boring posts that only get 2 comments instead of 25 because I am racking my brain trying to think of something. Hey - let's face it, the fun had to stop at some point. Can't wait for the next school break and more fun. Since Shayne is back to being super busy I have had to find something to occupy my time. I actually finished this project awhile back but just never got around to taking a pic. Don't worry I have plenty more projects in mind to keep me busy!
I have never owned a hand made quilt. I have always wanted one but have never been given one like some of you, and have never known how - UNTIL NOW!! My friend Molly has a really cute rag quilt her mom made her that I always envied. Right after Molly had her baby and her mom was here visiting, she was kind enough to teach Molly and I the art of rag quilting. Although the goal eventually is to make a large one for our living room, I thought I'd better start with "baby steps", so.......what better way than with a baby quilt. Thanks Sherri and Molly they turned out super cute!

Your quilt looks so cute - I've never made a quilt either. Looks like magic to me.

This post makes me sad! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your quilt! You need to make more and sell them! I would for sure be a customer:) I am the most un-crafty/sewing person you will ever meet! That is so cool you know how to do that!

Baby quilt huh? Interesting.... JUST KIDDING. So you can practice making me a big person quilt. I would love one. :) Try Red, Dark Khaki, Navy Blue, and Dark Green. Would that be cute? I will pay you and we can work something out. LOVE YOU!!!

That quilt is so cute! Now all you need are two babies. (One for each of your dogs!)

See, we have been back to boring for forever it feels like...and we're only 1/2 way through the semester... I never have a husband either, but my quilts have never gotten finished...Kaylie's is only 1/2 done, and Josh's has yet to be started (but I at least have fabric for it...that counts, right?!?) Those quilts are the way to go, none of that knot tieing and binding stuff for me!!! :)

Hey it's Ashley Christensen from the ward. I found your blog through Taunya and Ian's blog. You are such a cute and fun girl. I love that you love to exercise like I do. Although some days I don't have a whole lot of motivation. I love the way your blanket turned out. I can't wait to learn how to make those Hooter Hiders they were all making last weekend.
