Fall Break

Shayne's parents came to visit for fall break and we made sure we packed in everything we could. Below is the account of all our happenings!
__________________________________________________________
ZOOMBEEZI BAY
We decided to go to Zoombeezi Bay (the only waterpark here in Columbus). It was freezing the day we went but we braved it anyway and it was so worth it. Noone else was crazy enough to be there so we walked right on to every ride the whole day. There was one couple in wet suits - smart why didn't we think of that? ( I was laughing so hard)
The waterpark is attached to the zoo so we went there first until it warmed up a bit. Most the animals were out and happy to pose for us - one benefit of it being cold out I guess.
If we go somewhere and see dippin dots we can't refuse. They are so weird but so good. I was even more cold after but I didn't care - worth it!
Can't remember what she was called but she is so cute!!
Took Shayne's parents to City BBQ after ____________________________________________________________ Cedar Point Dragster - funnest ride ever. It goes extremely fast!!
My stomach couldn't hack this one so I stayed for a photo op - not the best quality sorry! _______________________________________________________________ Amish Country Had to get shots of the locals This is their cheese factory - you can sample as much as you want - if you know Shayne he loves cheese and was in heaven. They also had awesome fudge. They have so many great little stores and bakeries all with handmade items and homemade food These cream pies were to die for! _____________________________________________________ Hocking Hills We had fun hiking around and seeing all the beautiful scenery. I think the dogs were the most excited since we'd been leaving them so much. __________________________________________________________ German Village We stopped and ate at Schmidt's in German Village one day, they have cream puffs the size of your head!! We bought some of their amazing fudge at their fudge shop too. _____________________________________________________________ MIAMI VS OSU
Gotta sport the face tatoos
We ate at a little campus restaurant that Shayne goes to often called Hangover Easy - such good food!
Look who was there to sing the national anthem - Rascal Flatts - Sherri was ecstatic. If only they were on our end of the field and not the other. They sounded amazing - love them!
Our seats were on the 5th row right behind the band - right in all the action! Makes us never want to go up to lame C deck ever again
Yep that's Pryor in all his glory - jealous?
Usually anything you buy at a stadium is a rip off so were expecting that when we bought these snow cones. They were $5 and I was expecting just a tiny cup and got this instead!!
We went and ate dinner after at Cafe Da Vinci and of course had to finish it off with their famous gelato
______________________________________________________________ Another Wreck
What would a visit from someone be without one of our cars getting hit? Yep, yet again we were pulling into Bonefish grill for dinner and this guy backed into us. Luckily it wasn't too bad - he had more damage on his BMW than we did on ours.
We didn't let it ruin our night, dinner was still fantastic. Have you noticed a trend? We ate out everywhere, I was more than ready for home cooked meals when we were done!
_______________________________________________________________ Mostly Play and just a little work
Shayne's parents were so nice to help us with some household fixings - we can't thank them enough it saved us so much money and is stuff we have needed/wanted done for awhile.
They re stained our deck, fixed the carpet where the dogs had ripped it up awhile back, touched up paint here and there did a bit of caulking and fixed drains in our sinks. Thanks so much!!
________________________________________________________________ Galaxy Games and Golf
We ventured out to mini gold one night - super fun it's been forever since we've done that!
They also had an arcade there. We had a blast acting like we were 10 again and playing all the games!
This is what the girls spent most of their time doing. Zoey prefers Shayne's mom and Belle prefers his dad. They are too funny they are always so happy to have someone else around besides us. They were so sad and mopey when they left and I think we were too. Thanks guys for a fun time - can't wait for the next time. Love you!
