Whose Number One!

Well, yes the Buckeyes still are but that was not who we were referring to. We were actually referring to our sweet puppy Belle, she just turned one! Sherri seems to live vicariously through the puppies these days (hence the many ridiculous but cute pics she takes of them) seeing as Shayne is never around and is still meeting new people. So....crazy as it may seem she is obsessed with them and loves having them for company. Many of you suggest maybe just having a kid or two? All in good time these puppies are all we can handle right now. We've decided to post some fun pics of Belle to celebrate her first birthday!

This is Belle's birthday hat Sherri made her isn't she cute? She got a nice big bone but we think she was afraid we were going to take it back because she kept hiding so we couldn't get a good pic.

If you've ever owned any pet before you know how different their personalities can be, no two animals (especially dogs) are ever the same. This is one of the cutest things Belle does. Whenever Shayne studies in this room she sits like this and wines, never budging.

Eventually she gets tired of sitting so she lays down, all the while facing the corner of the door in hopes that Shayne might open it for her.

Then... when Shayne doesn't open the door (because he is trying to study and she just wants to play and keep him from studying) she rests her head. Notice still facing the door and whimpering every once in awhile. It is too cute and of course Shayne or I will eventually give in and let her in for a quick hello. We just think it's hilarious how she faces the door and is so persistent.

This is one of Belle's favorite lounge spots. I love it cause she will just sit like this hanging over the back of the couch forever - doesn't she look so comfy and relaxed? Oh the life of a dog!

Thriller....Thriller Night!

One of my favorite things about Halloween when I was living in Utah was a dance concert called Thriller. For those of you that aren't from Salt Lake it is basically a Halloween themed dance concert - they have dances with every Halloween character you can think of: Frankenstein, Jason, Skeletons etc. I have gone every year since I can remember. If you live in Utah and have never been I highly suggest trying to get tickets. Even if you aren't a big dance fan it doesn't matter because it's not your typical dance concert and is so entertaining. It's just such a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit. Seeing as we are in Ohio and I couldn't go this year I was reminiscing about it and decided to put a little Thriller tribute on here. So...here it is - the original Thriller music video. I love this especially because it is back in the day when MJ still looked half normal - enjoy and Happy Halloween!

What's Your Dead Name?

So Shayne's sister told us about this website where you could get your dead/goth name for Halloween. If you go to www.deadname.com you can look up yours. I'm not taking any credit for this site as I know nothing about it. I hesitated posting this because once you type in deadname.com the actual web address that comes up in the address bar looks a little sketchy so I wouldn't go any further than to look up your name and be done. It seemed pretty harmless and kind of fun. My dead name is Heavenly Demonic and Shayne's was Twisted Illusions, you think it fits? Have fun looking up your ghostly name, we'd love to hear what your name ends up being. Happy Halloween!

FALL

I love fall for so many different reasons:

-I love the changing colors of the leaves. -I love all the festive fall decor. -I love Halloween and Thanksgiving celebrations. -I love hearing the leaves that have fallen off the trees crunch under my feet. -I love the great weather and the smell in the air. -I love pumpkins and anything to do with them: pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds, carving pumpkins, pumpkin cookies etc. -I love football. -I love being able to leave the windows open and not have to use the A/C or heat. I LOVE FALL AND WISH IT WOULDN'T END!!

This is a shot just outside of our house. You can't see it in these pics but there is a long paved walking path right next to the trees - it is so beautiful especially at this time of year.

We're #1

Just in case some of you haven't been paying attention we thought we would take a moment to gloat about the fact that The Ohio State football team is now ranked number one! YEA - we knew we moved here for a reason. Thanks to all those other teams who have been losing so we could make it to the top. However, let's not forget the real reason that we are number one - quite simply we have an amazing team. It's pretty fun to be out here and right in the heart of all the action. Let's hope they can keep it up - Go Buckeyes!
